KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah Journalists
Association (SJA) president Datuk Joniston Bangkuai has been appointed as the
new chairman of the Sabah Tourism Board.
According
to a statement from the Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry today,
Joniston's appointment is for a period of three years from June 1.
The
former News Straits Times journalist is also Kiulu assemblyman after winning
the state seat on a Parti Bersatu Sabah ticket in the recent general election.
His
predecessor Datuk Seri Tengku Zainal Adlin Tengku Mahamood was appointed as the
new chairman of the Sabah Parks Board of Trustees.
Tengku Zainal Adlin's appointment is also for a period of three years.
